A sexual phobia is a fear or anxiety of some kind that impacts your ability to become aroused. The phobia can be specific, for example, it causes panic to touch a particular part of your partner's body. Alternatively, it may be more general, such as having the lights off.
Sexual phobias are often related to earlier traumatic experiences, but not always. A 'phobia' is not a strong dislike of a particular sexual activity.
As a sex therapist, I help you overcome your sexual fear at a rate that feels comfortable to you, and develop an enjoyable sexual relationship.
