Cambridge Sex Therapy
This is probably the most common sexual difficulty, particularly among women.
Loss of desire can either be partial, or total. Partial loss of desire means that you have stopped initiating sexual contact with your partner, but will sometimes respond to their approaches. Total loss of desire means that you don’t want to have sexual contact at all.
Life events such as bereavement and childbirth may cause loss of desire, and it is a known side effect of some medications, such as anti-depressants.
It can also be a result of childhood and adolescent experiences.
Losing interest in sex is often a response to dissatisfaction, disappointment or unhappiness in your couple relationship.
Through sex therapy, I help you deepen your understanding of what is causing your lack of interest in sex, and help you make the changes you want at a pace that feels right.
